WE ARE STILL HERE AND WE ARE OFFERING FACE TO FACE SESSIONS*
Due to the unprecedented times we find ourselves in, we have had to respond to the Governments declared pandemic of COVID 19 in Australia. As you are all aware many services have had to close their doors or adjust they way they provide services to the public, due to social distancing restrictions and other guidelines/legislation introduced by the Government, at state and federal level in Australia.
As an essential service we are able to continue operating, but have made some adjustments to ensure that we meet the governments legislation. We are also working within the recommended guidelines of ACA (Australian Counselling Association) to offer services with as much continuity as possible to our clients. We will continue to monitoring the situation and may make further changes to the services, without prior notice.
The changes we have made are to help ensure the safest possible environment for our clients during this time, while taking into consideration the need for clients to be able to access an essential service like counselling, is as important at this time as ever; maybe even more important. We understand that for many clients using technology may not be possible due to a number of reason and may not even meet their needs. So therefore we are continuing to offer counselling face-to-face with clients in the Geelong area, according to our COIVID 19 Procedure.
Some of the changes we have made, include:
- Ensuring clients and counsellor notify each other if they are unwell and don't attend session
- Disinfecting high touch surfaces
- Clear face shield to be worn during sessions
- Sanitising hands at start of session
- Using larger room
- and much more
